Food is crucial for survival, especially for children who represent the future of a country. Unfortunately, many marginalized children face a challenge – they often lack essential nutrients needed for proper brain and muscle development.
In response to this concern, Amal has partnered with Thrive Global to address the issue of micronutrient deficiencies among underprivileged children. Specifically, this collaboration focuses on providing nutritious meals to 50 children annually who attend Amal’s Uchchash school in Char Shonpocha, Bogura. Every school day, these children receive a nourishing meal consisting of a hard-boiled egg or a handful of nuts, a seasonal fruit or vegetable, and a banana. Additionally, milk supplements are provided once a week to enhance their diets.
This partnership has had a positive impact on the well-being of these underprivileged children. By ensuring they receive essential nutrients through healthy meals, Amal and Thrive Global contribute to promoting healthy brain and muscle development. The provision of balanced diets helps address micronutrient deficiencies, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being of each child. This collaborative effort exemplifies the power of community initiatives in providing essential support to the building blocks of our nation’s future.
