Development Strategy
The Strategic Approach
At its core, the strategy involves a clear identification of the target community's needs and challenges in line with the five pillars.
The development strategy of Amal Foundation is grounded in a comprehensive and sustainable approach aimed at addressing the multifaceted needs of marginalized communities. At its core, the strategy involves a clear identification of the target community’s needs and challenges in line with the five pillars. The first pillar focuses on Education, recognizing it as a catalyst for long-term empowerment. Amal’s strategy is to establish, run, and develop a set of pre-schools and primary schools in marginalized communities across the country and provide education to children between the ages of 4 and 8 who have never been admitted to a school. Given the right education, children can have an equal opportunity to achieve their dreams and establish a bright future for themselves with their potential and hard work. By implementing robust educational programs, including school infrastructure development, free of cost education, child brain development activities, and free food and medical check-up initiatives, it strives to uplift the educational landscape and unlock the potential of future generations.
Empowerment, the second pillar of Amal Foundation, includes skill-building, vocational training, and gender equality initiatives, breaking the poverty cycle. With a holistic approach, Amal prioritizes women and youth, enhancing skills in sewing, stitching, ICT training, and animal and agriculture husbandry. Health is a pivotal component of Amal’s strategy, involving the establishment of healthcare facilities, regular health camps, and awareness campaigns to ensure accessible and quality healthcare for marginalized communities. Amal Foundation’s strategic response to this massive problem has been to deliver integrated services through several innovative projects such as safe drinking water, health care advocacy and camp, and child nutrition in partnership with donors.
The fourth pillar is Emergency response, where Amal proactively and swiftly provide relief during any crises such as winter aid, flood and cyclone crisis or any other natural disaster crisis. Lastly, the commitment of Amal to Environmental sustainability involves climate smart agriculture practice, managing plastic pollution, tree plantation drives, waste management projects, awareness campaigns and advocacy for eco-friendly practices. By integrating these pillars, Amal Foundation aspire to create lasting positive change, fostering healthy, resilient and empowered communities.
