In underserved areas, marginalized women contend with various challenges affecting their health and hygiene. Issues include limited access to clean water, inadequate sanitation, lack of hygiene education, and insufficient healthcare services, heightening the risk of infections and reproductive health complications.
In collaboration with Savlon, Amal took proactive steps by organizing a hygiene camp in targeted areas. This initiative aimed to provide essential hygiene assistance to women, addressing their specific needs in Char Shonpocha, Sariakandi, Bogura, and Mirpur-2, Dhaka.
The collaborative effort and the hygiene camp’s impact were substantial. More than 1000 women in the mentioned areas received the crucial hygiene assistance they required, emphasizing the success of the collaboration in addressing the health and hygiene needs of marginalized women.
