“Hope is necessary in every condition. The miseries of poverty, sickness and captivity would, without this comfort, be insupportable” - Samuel Johnson. Igniting that spark of hope is in the core essence of Amal, as it names after an Arabic word meaning hope.
Amal Foundation’s main area of focus lies in education, emergency response, health and women's empowerment. Since 2014 Amal has worked in numerous projects starting from working with displaced communities in remote riverine islands in the North, facilitating a community health centre, building schools, supporting Rohingya Refugees with food, clothing and shelter and even creation of women skill and training centre. The organisation has grown rapidly since its inception, attracting hundreds of members and supporters from across the globe.
