Every year, severe floods devastate various regions across Bangladesh, leaving countless families displaced and without shelter. In response to this pressing issue during the last flood, Amal Foundation launched a targeted initiative to rebuild 27 houses for families who lost their homes due to flooding, focusing on two highly affected areas: Lokkhipur (Komolnogor) and Sirajgonj. In Lokkhipur, Komolnogor, a total of 17 houses were constructed. Of these, 10 houses were built with the generous support of the Henna Foundation, while 7 houses were supported by As-Suffa Relief. These homes provided much-needed security and a fresh start for families who had been living in temporary shelters or unsafe conditions.

In Sirajgonj, another flood-prone region, 10 additional houses were constructed with the support of One Ummah, ensuring vulnerable families had access to safe and dignified housing.

Through this initiative, Amal Foundation not only addressed immediate shelter needs but also aimed to restore hope, stability, and dignity to communities deeply impacted by climate-related disasters. The project reflects Amal’s continued commitment to building resilience among Bangladesh’s most vulnerable populations.
