Bangladesh, where families often struggle to meet basic needs, hunger remains a major barrier to learning. To address this, Amal Foundation, in collaboration with Thrive, launched the project to ensure children receive the daily nutrition needed to stay healthy, focused, and engaged in school.The initiative provides nutritious tiffins to underprivileged children in resource-scarce rural areas, reinforcing the belief that proper nutrition is essential for learning, growth, and community contribution. These meals go beyond food; they provide children with the energy and nutrients to thrive physically and mentally, improving both health and academic performance.

The project has grown steadily, reaching multiple schools across rural Bangladesh. At Ucchash School in Char Shonpocha (Bogura) and Biru Dalia Child Care School in Dimla, Nilphamari, over 270 students now benefit from daily meals. In Hamida Memorial Kindergarten School in Jongra, Lalmonirhat, 175 students receive balanced nutrition, ensuring they can concentrate on their education instead of worrying about hunger.

Meals are carefully crafted to meet the needs of growing children, offering protein, carbohydrates, and essential vitamins. Students enjoy a variety of items such as milk, eggs, guava, bananas, cucumbers, dates, peanuts, and chickpeas, alongside seasonal fruits like watermelon, pineapple, mango, and lychee. A typical tiffin might include a whole-grain sandwich, lentils with vegetable curry, fresh fruit, and yogurt or milk, ensuring children receive a balanced diet.

By tackling food insecurity, the NutriTiffin for Tomorrow project is building a healthier, more engaged generation. Through its partnership with Thrive, Amal Foundation continues to empower rural children with the nourishment they need, laying the foundation for academic success, better well-being, and a brighter future.
