Every child deserves the chance to dream, learn, and grow. Yet in Bangladesh, over 4.8 million orphans face lives marked by poverty and uncertainty, often without access to food, shelter, education, or care. To change this reality, Amal Foundation launched the Orphan Sponsorship Project in 2023, supporting 300 orphaned children from the most vulnerable communities in Bogra and Faridpur districts. Children from Dupchanchia, Adamdighi, Sonatola, Sariakandi, and Bogura Sadar Upazila were selected based on urgent need, ensuring the project reaches those most at risk.

The initiative provides holistic support so that children not only survive but thrive. Nutritious meals are served regularly to support healthy growth, alongside food packages for families to ensure household food security. To further stabilize families, the project offers monthly financial aid, enabling caregivers to meet children’s basic needs and allowing them to focus on education and personal development.Education remains central to the project’s mission. Sponsorship covers school fees, uniforms, books, and supplies, removing financial barriers and ensuring consistent access to quality education. This comprehensive support empowers children to continue their studies without interruption, nurturing their potential and resilience.

The impact has been profound. By meeting basic needs and easing financial burdens, the project helps break the cycle of poverty, enabling children to build brighter futures. Beyond material aid, the initiative instills dignity, hope, and the opportunity to grow into future leaders and contributors to their communities.
Through the Orphan Sponsorship Project, Amal Foundation demonstrates its unwavering commitment to protecting and uplifting Bangladesh’s most vulnerable children. With the right care and resources, these children are no longer defined by loss but by possibility, the chance to rise above their circumstances and shape a life of opportunity and purpose.allows them to pursue their education without financial hindrances, ensuring consistent access to quality education.
